Second: Different Interface
Why use Modem to connect to the phone interface, and the network cable interface does not respond to it. This is because the signal coming from the phone cable can be forwarded to the network device through the conversion and processing of the modem, such as forwarding to the computer, router, Hubs and switches, etc. If it is directly connected, it is an unrecognizable analog signal, which is equivalent to no signal. In other words, the function played by the modem in the middle is the signal conversion and simple processing. Specifically, the analog signal from the telephone cable is converted into a digital signal and handed over to the network device, and the digital signal transmitted by the network device is converted into an analog signal. The telephone cable is sent out.
Is the network cable and telephone cable shared?
The method of selecting a network cable and a telephone cable to share a network cable is common in network systems of small and medium-sized enterprises, especially small enterprises. Some network administrators have made neutralizations in terms of telephone and network for the consideration of saving the funds for integrated wiring, and choosing a method of sharing a network cable between the network cable and the telephone cable as a solution to the current situation. To avoid post-management and maintenance and troubleshooting, it is not recommended to have a network cable for the phone and the network.
