The biggest difference between Category 7 network cables and the previous versions of the network cables is that the Category 7 network cables are no longer an unshielded type of twisted pair cable, but completely shielded twisted pair cables. The Cat7 network cables can easily provide a comprehensive attenuation to crosstalk ratio of 500 MHz. And 600MHz overall bandwidth, transmission frequency is 1000MHz, more than twice the Category 6 wire, data transmission rate up to 10Gbps.
The Category 7 twisted pairs are also twisted and twisted. They are twisted from eight conductor cores. The shielding effect is far superior to that of the Cat6 twisted pairs. Each pair has a single metal foil shield and four pairs of twists. After the merger, there is a common large shielding layer, usually a metal mesh shielding layer.
In general, the comprehensive shielding structure is: metal mesh shielding + metal aluminum foil wire pair shielding, and the more complicated shielding structure makes the wire diameter of the Category 7 network wires larger than the Category 6 wires. The interfaces of the Cat7 network cables are the same as the Cat5 and Cat6 wires, all of which are RJ-45 interfaces. The Category 7 network cables have made great progress in hardware performance. The parameters of Category 7 network systems require that the connectors be connected at 600 MHz. To provide a comprehensive near-end crosstalk of at least 60DB, and a Category 6 network system requires only 46DB at 250MHz.
The material requirements of Cat7 network cables are very high, the technical process is also complicated, and the performance is excellent. Of course, the price is also slightly higher. In theory, the Category 7 network cables can only use Cat7 crystal heads. In addition to distinguishing performance, the classification of the network cable can also be used to measure the transmission speed standard of the network cable and the crystal head plug-in. This standard does not include the RH56 crystal head.
