Ultra160 SCSI, also named Ultra3 SCSI LVD, is a relatively mature SCSI interface standard developed on the basis of Ultra2 SCSI. It adopts new technologies such as double conversion clock control, cyclic redundancy check and domain name confirmation. Dual-conversion clock control doubles the data transfer rate without increasing the interface clock frequency, which is the key to a significant increase in the Ultral60 SCSI interface speed. With Ultra160 SCSI, it is easy to implement and has little risk. While enhancing reliability and manageability, Ultra160 SCSI has twice the transfer rate of Ultra2 SCSI and reaches 160MB/s. The Ultra160 SCSI interface has the following features:
(1) Ultra2 and Ultra160 devices can be installed on one bus at the same time, and the performance of Ultra160 devices will not decrease;
(2) Enhance the reliability of the product by improving the ability of checking and correcting errors;
(3) Ability to monitor interface performance and higher reliable transmission rate;
(4) The cable length for a single device can be up to 25 meters, and the cable length for two or more devices can be up to 12 meters;
(5) Support up to 15 SCSI devices on one channel;
